Just walked over and looked. One guy was working on it. Looks like new windows and a  "J" cowling in primer. no cowl flaps or propeller are installed.

I will try to get pics later.

This whole deal is one big bummer!!!George b installs a Topprop with spinner issues that comes apart in flight damaging the cowling.Hartzell steps up to pay for repairs under warrenty but picks a shop as far away as possible from home base in El paso texas!!!Shop chosen has had plane for 5 months with one excuse after another as to why all the delays.I think the attorney idea is fine,....but too soon in the process,...the attorney cannot fix your plane only another a and p can do that once youve decided present shop has no intention of complying.Perhaps...if your shop is monitoring this whole exchange that will be enough to move him into action...the thing is if the shop was square,he would have called you and explained straaight away "I cant get parts because dadadadada...what do you want to do next???It seems to me since Hartzell got you into this mess in the first place..let them find another shop with another ferry permit and obviously one within driving time to el paso texas because you understandibly would like to be close enough to the shop to personally monitor completion as owner of the aircraft.Once your plane is back than you have your attorney recover for loss of use.Call your own insurance company...put in a claim...they will recover from the responsible party.I would also right now be requesting funds for a rental aircraft...good luck kp couch

check your insurance policy, my policy includes a payment of extra expense for renting substitute aircraft arising out of covered physical damage to the insured plane.

$1,000/day

max $10,000 per occurrence.

perhaps the maintenance shop will rent you a replacement plane :>)

To all Mooney owners out there, please be advised!  Mooney Mart is NOT a MSC, never has been, never will be.  Please dont confuse them with the MSC in Venice, FL.  Mooney Mart is in SRQ now.  They were in VNC but were kicked out for a few reasons.  MM also laid off its two mechanics and has multiple lawsuits pending.    Many unhappy customers are now trying to move their planes to VNC until they can come get them.

I always wondered why there used to be so many Mooneys looking like they were wasting away on the ramp at VNC.

I've never dealt with them, but if they have such a bad reputation among Mooney owners, you should solicit Mooney to have a Cease and Desist issued to them for trademark misuse or unauthorized use. What happens when a first time mooney buyer gains confidence in reading through the log books of an a/c across the country that's been maintained by "Mooney Mart," they assume that it's an MSC and then their ownership experience ends up being "I'm never owning another Mooney again?"
