I broke my leg and my KT76A on the same day.   I need to get a transponder installed in order to get my M20C flying.   I'm also trying to find a couple of local mooney flyers to put an hour or two every couple of weeks until my knee heals.

I have a KT 76C that was removed for a Garmin 345.  It is out of a 1999 TLS that was always hangared.  Low time would be a super replacement.  Let me know if you have interest.

So pleased to see these. The Xpndr that won't die. My ADS-B out is pending the death of my KT76A or 2020, whichever comes first

Thanks everyone!  Currently pricing out a KT76C.  Primarily because it comes with a warranty.  I'm not in a super big hurry anyway because I won't be able to fly until probably June.

Maybe not the death for too many if levil gets their add on system certified.

Why not a kt74? It's a drop in replacement and adsb out for down the road?

It needs a WAAS source and my plan is to install an IFD440 which is not on the ADS-B STC for the KT74.  Its a pretty expensive gamble.

Are they attempting certification for "The Beacon"? I get the impression that they cater to the home built crowd.

I believe to get ADSB you need a new tray.

You do, but it's a slide in replacement for the 76 that he can use until he wants to spend the money for a position source and the installation.

It didn't say they weren't so who knows.

327's are going for $350-$450. I would never spend the money on a new one as you should be able to find nice used examples  for literally pennies on the dollar.

I have a 327 lined up for $250 but the 1700 installation quote is unreasonable.  Need to get the install cost down for me to even think about a 327.

I had to replace a KT-76 the other day.     Much less common than the 76A.   :(

But I bought a used, 'working when removed' one for $150, and it worked great when I got it.
