75_M20F Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 If you know of anyone wanting to sell some Mooney fully articulating seats, I am looking. Thanks Quote
LANCECASPER Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 If you do a search of "articulating seat" you'll find that Mooney sells them for $3500 each for the frame, you add the upholstery. They usually sell used for around $2000 each, you add the upholstery. The used ones seem to go fast for that price. 1 Quote
75_M20F Posted February 21, 2017 Author Report Posted February 21, 2017 I found some used ones at a salvage yard for "only" $4,500 per seat. I am still looking. Quote
flyboy0681 Posted February 21, 2017 Report Posted February 21, 2017 I was "lucky" enough to snag two early last year, after searching for nearly five years. I kept one and sold the other for $2k, which is the going price when one can be located. The adjustable seat frame is probably the most sought after part for the Mooney line of aircraft. My wife thinks it's worth every penny. Quote

José My wife practically burned hers when we got the new frame. She hated it with a passion, either it was always slipping or it made her sweat. Quote

gsxrpilot Posted February 24, 2017 Report Posted February 24, 2017 As with any airplane purchase... its always cheaper to buy the plane that has it already, then upgrade later. Selling my C for a 252 was how I got the articulating seats. Quote
75_M20F Posted March 7, 2017 Author Report Posted March 7, 2017 I have located and purchased two fully articulating seats. Thanks folks for the help. 2 Quote
