Jolie boarding a United Airlines CRJ in Seattle, asked the Capt. if he also flew GA.  His reply.........."I haven't flown one in years.  They are too dangerous".

Ha ha. So are motorcycles, horses, snow skiing, skateboarding, beenie babys, and stepping out of a shower. When people make all sweeping statements such as reported, I just smile and wave. Ignorance is bliss I say. May he blissfully fly the CRJ well, and let his ignorance shine.

Some people don't like risk and never do anything remotely interesting or exciting. Airline captains are no exception. Flying in a US commercial airliner is the next safest mode of transportation there is, second only to riding in an elevator. To each his own.
