Here is a pic from the Fiberlite installation.  Almost as good as having a backlit instrument!

They are pretty easy to install.  Most instruments are plug and play but some required some "modification" to make them work.

I am now looking forward to my first night flight!

That looks beautiful.  Wish i knew these existed when I redid my panel recently.  The yellow incandescence of the nulites looks incongruous with the otherwise modern panel.

Yeah, we will be doing 337 per the website.  Seems silly there is no STC for Mooney.  A 337 seems overkill since this really is not a "major alteration."  According to the information on Spruce, that is what is required.

Decided to make a new placard since the old one was in bad shape.

I have the same knob on my radio light. I always thought it was an aftermarket knob from a car or Radio Shack. Looks like it was factory issued.

Do they work if attached via a dimmer?

Yes.  You have to buy from them, or make your own, PWM.  they will NOT work off the existing dimmer since LED's are current sensitive.

Those do look pretty good, brighter than my NuLites. Dim able LEDs are great, I have some at home. Do they mess up your night vision? My dining room dimmer switch was $29.95 vs. incandescent dimmers for $3.95, so I won't ask what their dimmer costs . . .

What's with the racing stripe on your gear switch? Or is it a reflection of some kind?

I think it's just a visual aid Mooney added to help see switch position.

No impairment to night vision whatsoever. They can be dimmed to almost nothing,.

The PWM from fiberlite was about $40.00.

Do you have a link for that?

It looks like they changed things. I don't see the individual dimmer listed.

Any PWM dimmer will work though.
