CHANGE IN 2/14 EVENT, FLORIDA MOONEY LUNCH GROUP

Dear Mooney Pilot,

Wes Dale, our good friend and cook for Saturday has been hospitalized with blood clots in his leg, and will not be available for our scheduled lunch at Premier this Saturday, February 14.  Therefore, Premier is canceling the event.

Instead we will be going to the Jet Runway Cafe, also at Fort Lauderdale (FXE) at 11:30.  This is a new restaurant run by a company that caterers meals for corporate and charter aircraft.  They have salads in the $7.50 to $10 range and sandwiches in the $9 to $10 range.

There will be no program, just our usual lunch / visit.

I have not been there, but got the following information about it from Premier:
       I checked with Banyan, there is no fee to land when going to the Jet Runway Café.  They said to fly right into the Banyan terminal.  They will help put your plane in a spot.  The café is open from 7 am to 3 pm.
       If anyone is driving, it is west on Commercial off the I-95 ramp.  Turn right on NW 21st Ave.  Watch for Runway Café Banners on your right.

If possible, please let me know by tomorrow afternoon if you are still coming, or not so I can have an idea of how many to expect, and can notify the restaurant.

The KFXE Runway Cafe is very good. Wide range of dishes and good food. It has a magnificent view of the ramp and runway. Good Choice
