Avionics shop near NYC or DC

My AI occasionally gets the leans; it shows me in a shallow left turn when I am wings level. I live in DC (plane is based at College Park, Md.) but will be in NYC for a couple of days at the end of the month. Does anybody have any recommendations for avionics shops that are public-transit-accessible to either city (or close enough that the cab ride won't cost as much as two hours of avgas)?

 

My vacuum gauge reads low. Standby vacuum doesn't fix the problem. Maybe there's a slight leak somewhere in the system.

Islip Avionics at ISP is very good in my experience and you can catch the LIRR to the city. My plane is there now for upgrades....

Our flying club uses Islip Avionics and is very satisfied with them.

 

I've used VIP Avionics in Hartford (CT) and had a good experience with them.

Flash...in addition to my office in the city, I work out of an office in Hauppauge several times a week. I'm at the airport several times a week also, and can get you from the Ronkonkoma LIRR station and back, 5 mins from Islip airport. Happy to give you a lift if I know what time you'd be arriving. I'm based there (badged for the airport + car ramp access), so I can take you right to their front door, should you decide to use those guys. First class shop.
