N601RX Posted July 11, 2015 Report Posted July 11, 2015 Brittain AccuTrak II and BI 805 servo valve for sale. Includes tray, connector and T's to install. You will just need a few feet of hose and wire to install. The Accutrac will couple your existing pc or wingleveler system to a Nav radio or GPS allowing the wingleveler to become an autopilot. This is by for the cheapest option to add an autopilot to an older plane that already has the wingleveler. SOLD I also have an extra bi805 valve and a set of altitude control boxes if anyone is interested in purchasing them seperately. Quote
ELT Posted July 11, 2015 Report Posted July 11, 2015 Hi. I am very very interested in your package. I have been in discussion with my avionics guy about an install of one of these. Unfortunately, I can not reach him right now. Have you been using the system? I plan to install in a 1966 E that has a fully functional PC. Will this system work in the E after a check by the manufacturer? I would like to talk to your about the system tomorrow. My cell is 919.819.3451 thanks, Eddie Todd Quote
Hector Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 I'll take it. Will send you a pm. If already sold, I'm interested in the bi805 valve. Quote
Hector Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 If you recall, you helped me out a few years ago with an issue with my Accutrack. I had the bi805 valve overhauled and my AP started working correctly. Recently here again I'm starting to have same issues, intermittently. I was going to send my bi805 valve for another overhaul but having another one for a spare may not be a bad idea. Likewise, having a spare Accutrack would be good too. Call me on the cell (904-502-7085) if these are available. I know ELT has first shot, but call me if you have anything available. Quote
ELT Posted July 12, 2015 Report Posted July 12, 2015 Hi Mike, I will have to pass on your Accu-Trak 11. Hector will get a good deal. Sorry for any time you may have wasted. Thanks, Eddie Quote

TWinter Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 I bought this same system from him a few years ago..mine has worked like a champ. Best purchase ever Link it up with a Stec30 alt hold and it's a great combination for a fraction of full AP. Quote
Tom Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 Link it up with a Stec30 alt hold and it's a great combination for a fraction of full AP. I'm on Brittain's wait list for a Brittain altitude hold. Price from Brittain with all components (all components sourced and overhauled from Brittain) just under $2500 plus install. Wait time shorter than has previously been mentioned on the boards. Brittain would be a fraction of the Stec. Quote
slowflyin Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 +1 for the accutrak II stec 30 combo. Sweet! Quote
N601RX Posted July 14, 2015 Author Report Posted July 14, 2015 The Brittain altitude hold works reasonably well and is very simple. It doesn't have preselects or coupling, but has a pitch hold mode and altitude hold mode. Its all vac operated with no electrical connections. Mooney installed the mounting brackets on many of the year models so the servo mounting is just a matter of bolting the servo to an existing hole. The plumbing is all color coded, so its just a matter of plugging blue hose onto the port with the blue dot beside it. Its not connected to the static system, it just senses its altitude from what is inside the cabin. Just don't open the window with it on, you will get a very nasty surprise! Quote
TWinter Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 The folks at Brittian are awesome to work with..I've needed their help a few times. The "waiting list" has not made much progress, not their fault. Last time I spoke with them about the waiting list they told me the aviation "Gods" were making them jump through hoops and loops. I've been on the "list" as long as I have owned my Mooney. I'm staying on the list just in case.. Quote
Alan Fox Posted July 14, 2015 Report Posted July 14, 2015 I have altitude components if any interest... Quote

M20F Posted July 15, 2015 Report Posted July 15, 2015 Just don't open the window with it on, you will get a very nasty surprise! Same with my S-Tec, took me about 15 seconds before I went duh :-) Quote
mooney17n Posted July 17, 2015 Report Posted July 17, 2015 Is the bi805 still for sale? I want to buy it PLEASE!!! Quote
