ryoder Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 I just bought this simulator and am running it on my Air 2 and it's worth the small price. I flew a 172 to a small unpowered airport, entered the pattern and landed into the wind. The app gives you a course indication to the airport of intended landing so you can fly vfr but know where the airport is once you select it. I did a full flap landing but flared just a bit high and kept my nose high attitude for a bit of a bouncy landing. It felt decently realistic and I think it would be helpful in helping new student pilots get used to watching airspeed and heading on climb out and turning to the right crosswind heading etc for pattern work. The hud allows you to fly without the instrument panel view but I prefer that view most of the time since its more realistic.
Danb Posted February 21, 2015 Report Posted February 21, 2015 Ry...what kind of simulator..I have a Jay and thats kida pricy..
ryoder Posted February 21, 2015 Author Report Posted February 21, 2015 This is five dollars. It's just a game but it's nice to fly instantly and the cockpit graphics are really good.
DAVIDWH Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 After mastering the Chevrolet 172, I put full throttle to the F18 in solid Ifr. First two takeoffs resulted in spinning gyros and loud crashing noises. A bit better now, but still hard to slow down for a landing. Sort of like a Mooney with no speed brakes.
carusoam Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Siri didn't get your Cessna spelling..? -a-
aviatoreb Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 Siri didn't get your Cessna spelling..? -a- Siri thinks my Mooney is Money. The sad thing is that Siri is correct!! 1
