Hi,

 

I will be going to Boston next weekend and I was looking at GA airports in the city, any suggestions, never been to Boston with my own plane.

 

I see KOWD Norwood memorial, and KBED : Laurence G Hanscom, or Logan, but I guess less for GA...

 

Thanks for advice on these or any nearby airports.

I always go to KOWD when I go to Boston.  Its close enough, quick ground service/rental car etc, decent fuel price, two runways and good approaches.

 

I have a friend who went six months ago to Logan in his Commanche - I forget exactly but I think it was $250 for the landing fee!!!

Norwood is your best bet.  Good airport, instrument approaches, rental cars, two runways, and 10 minutes by cab to the Commuter train (University station) which takes you downtown (Copley Square and South Station) for about $4.
