Fuel level senders

Recommended Posts

Parts manual indicates 67F MAY use...

Transmitter Assembly, fuel quantity.

610161 LH

610160 RH

These are F only. C,D, and E use a different part number...

I am not a qualified source, so check your numbers carefully.

Hope that helps...,

The arm and float are different.  A while back, I bought one just to see.   Their resistance characteristics are very similar.

Some of them (aftermarket senders) have a compression bolt that allows for for removal of the arm and float. But I decided to go with CIES since I'm installing JPI 900. I just wish there was somesort of the discount for CIES. $1700 for four senders is a tough pill.

I have 4 for a 62' C but I believe they changed styles around 65

Would you be interested in selling two?  I have a ‘62 also and need to get mine rebuilt. I’ve talked to CIES and theirs don’t work with original factory multi gage. If I had two to rebuild I could swap during an annual and shorten the downtime.

I've got two old fuel senders that I bought a while back.  Just in the past month or so the R.H. sender in our C has decided to get jumpy.  I see in the parts manual that the R.H. is P/N 5641991.  These senders don't have part numbers on them that I can discern.  Which one is the R.H. sender?   I'd guess that the bent arm with the float on it points aft?   I could send one of these in to Air Parts of Lockhaven for an o.h.  Thx.

I have four senders that I removed from a M20J. The right two work perfectly. The left two need rebuilding due to intermittent resistance readings verified after removal. I'd sell the right two for $50 each ($100 total + shipping) and throw in the left two for free since they need work.
