There was an A&P examiner in Texas a few years ago that was giving out fake A&P license.  This went on for several years before the FSDO caught on.  I believe there were several thousand A&P's that the FAA made retake the test.  Many of them had already been out in the workforce for several years.

Well the 737 is very simple to fly.

This would have never worked for a Mooney. Too much confusion about when to use flaps for takeoff and LOP operations require a degree in rocket science.

i doubt it... but even less on a 320

Flaps and gear, check. Adjustable pitch propeller, negative. Therefore no loggable complex time. But you CAN log turbine time.
