Trailing edge wingtip lamp replacement

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but my search has failed.  The white bulb in the trailing edge of my 1986 M20K Rocket wing has burned out.  I'm looking for an LED replacement or, failing that, an incandescent replacement.  See image.

Do you have the OEM part # or anything else I can use to search with?  If it fits your Rocket Im of course interested.  Im also assuming it is an M20K part and not specific to the Rocket.  

Let me know and I will search too and see what I can find.

It is an M20K part rather than a Rocket specific part.  There are no identifying markings whatsoever.  I looked at the links above and the big rub appears to be the base has those prongs rather than a bayonet base.

I will continue to see what I can find, from the photo.  Here are a couple, any chance your bulb pulled out of its socket? After seeing these it got me to thinking that aircraft builder would have most likely used some sort of securing mechanism / base.

Here is a bulb but is 30v @ 200 watt, I have no idea if the actual bulb is the same but at 1/2 voltage it will produce 1/2 watt!!  Again not sure I or you want to go there but just more INPUT!

I used to have these "type" of bulbs in some under counter lighting. You might pack your bulb up and head to the PMA lighting section of Lowes and see what they have. Once identified, you might be able to get a LED replacement.

I'd pay $20 / month to Mooney for something like, I dunno... "Bronze Level Support". Basically, I pay them a little every month and get an email addr / phone number I can call to get questions like this answered in 48 hours. They could use the money to pay for additional staff, parts, etc. I'm long since out of warranty, but the ability to ask the factory questions and get a quick response... yeah, I'd pay for that.

What does the IPC give for this - on a Bravo it's a Whelan part, but I don't have a K manual.  On the other hand, how many do you get through?  The savings for a LED bulb might be more questionable if they're not a regular item (I've not had to replace a Nav light at all yet, but I've only done 30 odd hours of night flying, but have probably used the lights for about double that)

Getting the manuals would be a start - a few months sub and you can look them up yourself without a 48hr turnaround!

I'm pretty certain it didn't pull out of the base. This bulb is certainly closest (https://www.interlig.../SYLVANIA-59078).  You must have a 231 conversion with the 14 v system.  Mine is a 252 conversion with the 28 v system.

By repeated web searches, I've been able to determine that this is a G8 (8 mm center to center, bi-pin base) T4 (4/8 in diameter), 100w, 24v bulb.  Finding an LED replacement seems to be difficult.  Even finding an exact replacement is turning out to be a challenge.  I have been able to find a G8 T6 LED bulb but their G8 T4 version had been discontinued.
