  1. Tough. I feel for you.
  2. What is considered a "big" flight school? Number of students? Number of planes? Kind of planes? Lodging? Etc, Etc.
  3. What was the end result? Did you sell? Did you buy?
  4. Any Idea why the "bottom fell out"?
  5. Welcome. Thank you for your service. Two rules. Don't poke Marauder or Nobody. Don't ask if bladders are better.
  6. From a B to a J is a nice step up, no offense to your B. How many kids? How old? How big? The Cherokee Six, with the 300 hp engine, is a well known Suburban of a plane. It is slow, and, sucks gas compared to what you are used to. If you don't have five heads, I would stick with the Mooney until you absolutely need the third row of seats. Do not let the better half sit inside a Six, nor the Bonanza. You will be compromised in the decision making process. he he he. Thread Hijack.
  7. I have argued the Encore is the best of the breed. Is the Acclaim "that much better" than the Encore?
  8. Climbed so fast, I didn't even see the 50ft obstacle you were trying to miss. Congratulations. David
  9. Asking this again.
  10. I don't think you posted enough pictures.
  11. Congratulations, or, I'm sorry.
  12. Yes exactly what I said. "Mooney's new design." Sell them to American flight schools. df
  13. I am a little ignorant to this, but what is considered a "big" flight school? How many planes? How many students?
  14. 79 large for one transducer.......... okay could not resist
  15. I am sure this is already been thought of, but I would approach every large and small flight school, and give them an incentive to replace their aging fleet with Mooney's new design. Same for any college level flight program. I don't know what kind of incentive that could be, but it seems reasonable to me that selling five planes to a large school instead of just one would make sense. Possibly make the incentive a low priced 'O' or TN to add to their fleet? Just thinking out loud. DF
  16. WHEW!!!! Much nicer photo than usual for Marauder. welcome Chris.
  17. Prop
  18. Mooney owns the STC. there was a discussion recently as to the weight of the TKS fluid. On pilots bird did have his WB listed without the fluid, where the Majority of owners proved the WB included fluid. Whichever bird you are considering, check closely the POH.
  19. Picky sod? you over the ponders talk funny.
  20. So in the long run, happy?
  21. The Gerbils were replaced in '82. Fanboy's J is an '83
  22. Okay then, what was the take on this? Hard data showing pressures so high that it was concerning?
  23. My question would be, was the smoke from hour #1 or did it magically appear at hour 38? Building my race engines, there would smoke up for the first few start ups. I attributed this to the crank grease, and other oils I used to assemble the engines. If I did a good job honing the cylinders, the smoking would stop. A bad job would mean I did a poor job. I would think 38 hours is enough to seat the rings. My first thought only. I am not an airplane engine builder.
  24. Who is the one with the long hair?
