Mine are hydraulic on my 84K, but they are PowerPac Spoilers, from Spoilers Inc. Pritch

We have a 65C on the field with a TN and the battery was relocated to the tail. So it looks like it can be done. I will see if the owner knows about the STC since he bought it that way.. Pritch

On my 84k the factory probe is on #3 with the JPI piggybacked there. Have just installed the JPI and still getting use to it, so the included pictures are not well defined yet. The #3 always runs cooler Pritch

Mooney POH's and lack of information
Pritch replied to Urs_Wildermuth's topic in General Mooney Talk
According to the 'Book' at 15'c 1500 ft pressure alt, 6 kt headwind, 2600lbs , ground roll is 1000ft. For same conditions on grass surface, roll is 1100 ft, for my M20K Pritch -
Have you tried switching the probes to see if you get the same reading? Pritch
-
Does your #4 cylinder have the stock probe, if so then the JPI probe different than the rest and could account for the lower reading. Pritch

Nice day to fly from KEKA (Eureka) to KUKI (Ukiah Ca) to take my hangar neighbor to pick his BT6, some other interesting planes there also. These planes made mine look small but thrifty on fuel. The BT burns 30 gph at 150mph. Pritch

Mine sticks once in awhile also. I just keep my right hand hanging by my side and feel the wheel as it is trimming (a leftover from my old days of manual trim). I am thinking that it might be a buildup of crud in the switch after 32yrs. Pritch

Just bought a set for my TSIO 360lb in early Sept and they ran $1068, easy to install and then added the JPI 730. Picture below in my first test flight. Got a ways to go before I totally know what I am doing. Pritch Where the Redwoods meet the Pacific Ocean

Yes I agree with you, after finishing this up I saw a great installation on a Lancaire and will be rerouting the wires shortly. Always open to learning on this forum. Pritch

Just finished my first owner assisted annual on my M20K and learned a lot about my new bird. The A&P/I also did the annuals on my previous C model, so was used to me hanging around and put me to work doing more than just opening her up. I installed Gamis and did the wiring for the new JPI 730 which was a little tedious connecting all those small gauge wires. But everything worked prefect on the first fire up. All in all both he and I were very pleased with N57403. So now I am waiting for my pocket book to reload so I can add a few more features to the 730. Pritch PS tomorrow I take her up and see how it all works.

Yep, been there done that, after I bought my first Mooney, had to buy the exwife a 1.76c diamond. 7 years later she got the house and I kept the Mooney, my life was HAPPY! Pritch

Installed a Merlyn Black Magic UDPC today - with pictures
Pritch replied to Zwaustin's topic in Modern Mooney Discussion
Very interesting, on my 231 it is plumbed the opposite direction. But that could be due to the fact that I have a Turboplus intercooler. Currently have mine opened up and installing a JPI 730, having lots of fun. Pritch- 8 replies

Makes installing my EDM730 next week look like a piece of cake. Have fun and enjoy, half the fun of owning a Mooney is working on them. Pritch

Is anyone still using a KLN 89 or 89B GPS. I am trying to decide if I want to update the data card on my just for S#*ts and giggles on my new to me 231. The last update was done in 2012 and really don't use it since I have an Ipad mini 4 that is a whole lot easier to use. But, if you do, how do you update the card? Pritch
