Partnership in DFW

Howdy all, I’m new to Mooney Space but have been a Mooney lover since I started flying.  I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I’m going to go for it anyway. I’m going to be moving back to the DFW area in January and I’m looking for a partner in a Mooney 231 K or a 201 J.  I’ve been in pilot training for the USAF for the last two years and I’m looking for bird to fly back and forth to my C-130 Guard unit in Missouri.  I haven’t totally decided where I’m going to live when I move back but I’m leaning towards the north Dallas area (Las Colinas, Lewisville, Frisco)  I have a little less than 1.000 hours and have my Multi, Commercial, Instrument, and a few type ratings.  I’m looking for a good IFR bird with an auto pilot to fly about 100 hours per year.  Feel free to email me at rawiv130@gmail.com or post on here.

Have a look here and maybe y'all can get together:

I grew up in McKinney and learned to fly at Aero Country airport (T31).  TKI is the "big" airport and T31 is a private/public one full of interesting planes and people, and will be cheaper to base if you can find a hangar.  Both airports are easy-in/-out from the DFW terminal area, especially if you're heading to MO regularly.  A lot of the growth in the area is in/around McKinney & Frisco and it is a great place to live IMO.

Thanks for the info on McKinney Scott.  It was either TKI or DTO ( I dont remember which ) where I had to do an emergency landing last year for a false engine fire light, fun stuff.  I'll be sure to contact that other guy.

+1 for DTO. That's my home airport and you'll not find a better GA airport. TKI just had a new runway create and it's first rate as well. T31 is a nice airport but you have home owners around the airport that are not aircraft friendly so you have to really watch your traffic pattern. When taking off to the south, you have to follow the golf course as it curves to the left to avoid homes.
