I've flown there a couple of times.  Highly recommend Kuhn Jet Center.  They treated me very well, and reasonable fuel prices.

Same.  I was based there a few years ago.  Never squawk 1200.  IFR is easiest.  Smokehouse Pilots club on Facebook is filled with JYO pilots.

You need to do the SFRA training.  Don't forget.

And NEVER, EVER, even THINK about squawking 1200.

Finished up the training awhile back, getting ready to fly there at the end of the month and wanted to talk to someone that's been in there...think I'll just call the flightschool that's there and talk to a CFI

Been in there many times, although last was when there was a 'remote tower.'

It's not class D, so its weird.  I think there is a local controller in a temp tower now - no radar feed for them methinks.  Lots of traffic so keep your head on a swivel - all the VFR traffic is coming and going out that NW quadrant below 1500 ft.   Watch your ADS-B traffic (CDTI) and turn on your landing light.
