Stan Posted March 14 Report Posted March 14 My Mooney Part# 610015-001 Airight, Inc. gascolator fuel screen (filter) needs to be replaced. The parts manual shows no filter screen or number, and it also appears Airright was bought by AAPH. Does anyone have a source of this part?

Yes, the two screens on AS are 10543-2 and 10543-74, with the same dimensions for each, so I suspect they'll fit the gascolator. It's easy enough to measure the existing one and make certain.

PT20J Posted March 15 Report Posted March 15 My 94 M20J has the 610015-001 gascolator. It's an Airight 51250-9 with a red can. The screen isn't flat; its a cylinder. See drawing attached. There's one listed on eBay for $69 obo described as for parts only. Stan Posted March 15 Author Report Posted March 15 Yes the part number is for the complete Gascolator, however no screen is shown. Skip, I have an 89 J and the same can as yours. Here is what the screen/filter looks like:

Stan Posted March 16 Author Report Posted March 16 Skip, That is my question also. It looks like it was pushed down from the top, so possibly the mechanic stepped on it. My mechanic had a new guy helping him, so who knows?

My mechanic had a new guy helping him, so who knows? I don't see any reason to not try to repair that one by straightening it out. It should be evident whether there's any unrepairable damage. And, yeah, that's completely different than the little disk screen in many gascolators, including my M20J.
