430W occasional static on transmit

So I’ve been having random times my 430W will transmit static. I can receive no issues and all nav/gps functions work great. Sometimes tower/ground/approach says it’s unreadable and by the time I get to a different location it’s back to normal.
My mechanic and I tested on ground and he could hear it, we swapped in another 430W he had and didn’t hear the issue. 
Best bet to send it in for a com board replacement or anything else to check?

My Com 2 is a KX155 and it has no issues with static, clear to everyone. It’s just the light sensor is bad so at night it’s almost unusable without shining a light on it(considering the led display upgrade).

Bevan evaluated mine a couple of years ago for similar issues and ended up replacing the COM board.  I'd send it to them for evaluation.

Remember what they charged? I was given another company that can do com board $900. 
Bevan did my kx155 in 2021 and it was like $800
