Spinners on Ovations

Good evening folks,

As I'm looking at Ovations, several seem to have spinners that are too small. They don't seem to match up with the cowling. I'm not talking about engine droop/shimming. Is this normal or something to address when viewing prospective birds?

Note that the first two seem too small. The last one (red/white cowl) seems to be big enough.

The hartzell spinners are too small. the Mccauleys fit perfectly. You're going to want the hartzell, because the prop is superior and you can then have 310hp.

And that is the answer! You want the 310HP if you can get it.

Talk to Hartzell about this; specifically, Mike Trudeau, who used to (possibly still does?) head up their Top Prop division.  He and Bob Minnis worked on the original STC for the 7498 scimitar prop currently used on the Acclaim Type-S conversions.  If he doesn't know the answer, likely no one will.
