NickG Posted July 22, 2024 Report Posted July 22, 2024 I am finding that the annunciator panel is in a location that isn't part of my natural scan. Plus,,some of the lights are really hard to see even when lit (I'm talking about you, Low Boost Pump light!). The speed brake light is also an important one to have in my scan. I have a 94 O and so I have the taller panel. Has anyone toyed with moving the annunciator panel? Is it allowed? If I could, I would have it moved above the G3x touch. has anyone done this? Quote
N201MKTurbo Posted July 22, 2024 Report Posted July 22, 2024 It looks like there is plenty of room where Your N numbers are. you will have to look behind the panel and see what is there. You will also have to evaluate the wiring for the annunciator panel. If they won't reach over there, extending them could be a PITA. As far as legality, there is a lot of leeway these days when it comes to panels. Putting it closer to your line of sight won't get anybody mad. You might make sure that both your glare shield lights and your panel lights (just to the right off your autopilot controls) are off in the day time. I believe those circuits, when on, dim your annunciator. Quote

When I moved mine to the left side of my panel on a similar year Bravo we just used an extension https://www.amazon.com/s?k=db25+extension+cable+1+foot&crid=312XWNTBSKPF3&sprefix=db25+extension%2Caps%2C219&ref=nb_sb_ss_pltr-sample-20_3_14 1 Quote

I think I'm putting this on my to do list when I add the 7" G3x on the right side. Quote

That looks like a very nice panel. I would not mess with it. What you need right in front of you is your IFR “T”, which you have. You will get used to your annunciator panel. Just go enjoy your airplane and save your money for real issues. Congratulations and may you enjoy your airplane for many years!! 1 Quote
N442PT Posted October 14, 2024 Report Posted October 14, 2024 I totally get what your going through. When I updated my Panel I wanted to move the annunciator above my G500 and lower the glare shield. I looked at a new panel at aircraft spruce https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/avpages/aero11-15734.php?clickkey=29981. Did not do it but it would have been so cool to see over that tall glareshield. 1 Quote
