Grant_Waite Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 My baggage door hold arm broke today. It snapped at the point where it connects to the top of the door. I found one on BAS from a K model for $250. Does anyone have one laying around or make them new? I can’t justify paying the $800 for a new one, if they even exist. Quote
Sabremech Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 It can be welded. I fixed one last year on a friends J with the exact same failure point. David 3 Quote

Shadrach Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 You may find a Mechanic that will weld it but those kinds of folks are getting scarce. I would take it to a local machine shop/metal fabricator. Most could repair that easily. Quote
Pinecone Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 I need to get to the garage and practice my TIG welding and set up a shop to do things like this. Quote
