Modern yokes

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever used this repair kit to upgrade to the J-style yokes? On the vintage models, the holes on the shaft of run perpendicular to the holes of the new yokes. I’ve seen several threads where people replace the shaft and possibly even the whole yoke system. Seems to me to just use this kit and then drill the new holes to fit the new yokes would be much less complicated.

Hi, I went thru that AD on our last annual and yes we drilled holes in the bushing.

I went fancy and used a CNC with 4th axis to drill the holes exactly 90deg out but you can do the same with a good drill press and a vise:
