Pinecone Posted February 13, 2024 Report Posted February 13, 2024 How difficult to import into US? Quote
Danb Posted February 14, 2024 Report Posted February 14, 2024 Since it has Canadian number it could be problematic, I’d get ahold of a reputable MSC who has knowledge of a DER who you could work with. I went through this 10 months ago but my plane was 7 years old with no stcs changes or alterations which made FAA acceptance not much of an issue. Quote

Trying not to be a smart A$$ or know it all, but you need a DAR not a DER. I only know that because I was reading the requirements to become one the other day. 1 Quote

Designated Airworthiness Representative They sign off homebuilts, issue ferry permits and import airplanes. Designated Engineering Representative They are the ones to see if you want to do something weird like install a RADAR in your tail cone. They do field approvals. 1 Quote
