brownm Posted January 3, 2023 Report Posted January 3, 2023 Happy New Year, everyone! Does anyone know where I could get a #1551 servo seal for the retractable step? Mine currently has a hole in it. I've tried Mooney, Brittain, and Preferred Air Part without success. I understand there are electrical replacement servos available, but I'd really prefer just to get my current servo functional. Thanks, Michael Quote
RLCarter Posted January 3, 2023 Report Posted January 3, 2023 You see used ones on here on occasion…. I found 2 NOS 5 or 6 years ago, it turns out that it is the same servo used on Beechcraft QueenAirs Yaw Dampener, when Brittain couldn’t get them produced Beech sourced them through someone else… I’ll try and find the post I wrote back then which has the Beech part number 1 Quote
brownm Posted January 4, 2023 Author Report Posted January 4, 2023 Thanks, that would be helpful. I did get a #2007-1 seal because I'd read that it was the same part. It isn't. Quote

Can’t find my original post (I seem to remember MS losing some post a while back?). Brittian might have the Beech part # seeing how they use to produce it, or find an IPC for a queeny Quote
Utah20Gflyer Posted January 4, 2023 Report Posted January 4, 2023 People have been known to make a repair to that boot using a high quality electrical tape. It’s not always an option but it does work if the situation allows it. Mine has tape on it now, although I purchased the electrical step conversion so it’s about to get replaced. 1 Quote
