And for models without the stops there are kits to add them. Thanks. I hought he stops were originally a Lasar STC. I know that all of their trusses come with stops.

No, as I am the owner/pilot, not the mechanic. And the shop is 85 miles from my home base. Thus, I was unable to watch this process. You asked the question, not your mechanic. I assumed you were participating in the maintenance.
Alan Fox Posted October 30, 2022 Report Posted October 30, 2022 Pretty sure the noswheel is hitting the doors.. needs a shim on the top of the stack under the collar.. 1
FlyWalt Posted November 3, 2022 Author Report Posted November 3, 2022 Good Morning All, Here is an update. My IA advises that the replacement truss that was sent turned out to be the wrong part number. We have found a replacement unit on the shelf at one shop. Thank god as I had worries of waiting 4 to 6 weeks to have our original repaired. What makes this incident especially agitating is that I"ve just 6 months without an aircraft due to our engine shop waiting for parts for overhaul. The FBO where the engine shop is located, damaged the truss on delivery day. What a quagmire of AOG time. Sickening to say the least. 1
tmo Posted November 4, 2022 Report Posted November 4, 2022 Hey, at least you now see the top of the hill...

The hill will be a lot smaller in the future. This kind of work will only be given to "Experienced" Mooney Shops. Why someone, (With 3 sets of eyes in the shop), didn't see the rudder going full right deflection while she was on the jacks, I will never know. However, If anyone wants to know of a shop to avoid in Georgia then PM me your cell number. We will talk.
rrodriguzzi1 Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) That should have been noted on a landing gear swing test or plenty of them before releasing that aircraft to the owner. Hard to tell from my iPad and knowing the previous history of the aircraft. This was mine a while ago. Edited November 29, 2022 by rrodriguzzi1 Added pictures.
