I found an aircraft in France (but FAA registration) that I'm interested in.  As I do  my homework, does anyone have suggestions for who might be good to work with as a buyer's agent to help set up pre-buy, escrow, etc.?

It's hard to operate an N registered plane outside the US unless it is registered ion a trust.  I am not very familiar with this, but maybe the first step would be to find out if you can become the new beneficiary off the trust without re-registering the plane?

set up pre-buy

There are only 3 mooney centers in europe if you want your prebuy done by a MSC. There is one in France and, although I have no direct experience with them, I think they do both import and export planes from/to the USA.

I'll look up the MSC, thanks (hopefully they speak English...).  It seems the owner is a US person.  One of my big concerns is escrow and trust/reputation of the dealer, so looking for a buyer agent with experience in Europe that's willing to do single engine pistons.  The plane seems like a good deal,  so there is probably something wrong with it.

MG,

Are you thinking of bringing it home to the US?

Acquisition costs and delivery costs are going to be larger this way…

You may want to add some details to your avatar... Where you are and what you are looking for can be really helpful…

Best regards,
