My 12 volt electric motor sprocket needs replacing. It’s 6 tooth. Does anyone know the part number or have a line on where I can procure one?

Thanks.

What is wrong with it? It is hard to imagine it wore out.

The teeth slip and I’m out of adjustment. The trim itself is smooth with no binding with trim motor removed.

How about a picture?

Here is a picture. Never seen a new one so do not know if this is worn or not. Can’t seem to find a part number either.

That does not look worn.  Small sprockets need a snug chain.  Better check the instructions on how snug.

The chain doesn’t slip. The sprocket slips out of the trim wheel. Maybe I’m looking at this the wrong way and possibly the trim wheel is wornMaybe I’m looking at this the wrong way and possibly the trim wheel is worn.

It’s an aero trim system. My airplane has it. AeroTrim used to sell the STC for the trim. They are no longer selling the STC but you might get lucky with parts or a new trim wheel. The cover for mine has always been a mangely mess.

Never seen that one before. Who makes it?

Well…

You can probably look up your Norm’s STC details…

Or contact the pre-flown parts guy to see what he knows and has….

If you know it’s worn, and out of adjustment…. See what @Alan Fox has for parts…

Thank you. The issue is with the ring the socket mates to. I’m gonna see about having one made by Waterjet. If that is cost prohibitive, it appears I could turn it over and use the other side for a while.

There are a few threads on making and documenting user supplied parts around here…

That will help with proper log entry…

The more I look at it, it looks like a zombie website.

I agree but tried to call. Went to VM but will try again in the morning. I sent an email so I’ll see if I get an answer.

I bought electric trim parts from them last year. Good people who bought the company and all its inventory but don't support this STC any more.  I would be interested in user made parts for this system as mine is currently inop.

I talked to them today. They do have a few sets of rings and a couple of motors. They were gracious enough to give me the part number for the sprocket and I’ve talked to them. It looks like I’ll be able to get one made but I’ll have to buy five but the total is only about 60 bucks. I’m having the ring water jetted as well as an extra sprocket for $160. Got a love pilot produce parts. If there’s anybody out there that has the arrow trim STC it needs a ring, let me know and I’m sure I can get them to make extra rings and it will cut the cost down for everyone.

I bought the electric trim motor from them but they couldn't find the sprocket. I'm not sure where the ring fits, but I will take one of those as well. Please let me know what the cost is for the sprocket and ring so I can send you the money.

This is the sort of thing that would push me over the edge and buy a GFC500 with electric trim...

Some people have more time than money, and enjoy the challenge of keeping old stuff working. After resealing the boots and changing hoses, my Brittain with Alt hold and Pitch control now works fine for flying VFR :D

The ring goes on inside on the inside of the trim wheel between that facing and the chain it’s cured by three screws on each of the half plates. If you need the Sprocket, let me know because I’m gonna have to buy five minimum
