It won’t be. 78 in diameter , that’s very low ground clearance left for a Mooney

They make the blades in any length required, which is currently from 74 to 80 inches. The same prop is used on a Diamond DA40, but with a 76" diameter.

Below is from Socata.org forum

I installed a 3 blade MT prop when I sent Engine out to Victor aviation for complete rebuild. They actually send you a video when they balance the crankshaft showing how out of balance crankshaft is in current condition and then video after they have balanced the crank. They advised that this is especially critical when going to 3 blade prop. I also had prop Dynamically balanced. I have experienced no unusual vibration and find the engine runs very smooth. Haven't noticed a reduction in speed but noticed increase in climb rate.

Has anyone done a volume(dB) in their cab before and after? It's a YMMV, but at least it's a measurement one can compare. Trying to justify new prop VS overhaul the 2 blade McCauley
