flyhigh603 Posted August 13, 2021 Report Posted August 13, 2021 Hey there everyone !! Is there anyone near S.NH that has a " PRE J Model " I could get to fly to Concord NH ...KCON . I will pay for your fuel and buy lunch if you can fly your bird here . My aircraft partner and I are looking at Mooneys. I owned a 66 M20C but had to sell her due to divorce . My partner is a big dude 6'2 and I want him to see if he can fit in a Mooney . Basically anyone with a M20C-M20F . Just want a kind hearted pilot who would fly here just so we can see if my friend can get in and out of a Mooney . We are looking at several aircraft to purchase but my first choice is a MOONEY . Im a die hard all things Mooney guy .......Dan@ 603-361-7493......Text or leave message please..... Quote

Hank Posted August 13, 2021 Report Posted August 13, 2021 I think @takair lives in the area, I'm a little fuzzy on the geography of such little states (they all run together on the map unless I squint hard. ). Quote

I’m about an hour flying time but i was based in Manchester for many years. I was just up in Portland last weekend but don’t have current plans to be in the Concord area. I am almost 6’1” and no longer thin and have room to spare. There are various threads on Mooneyspace on tall folks and Mooneys. @Yettiseems to be the prize winner at something around 6’7” …..or was that 7’6”.? The front seats of all Mooneys seem comparable, so even a J fitting would work. If you are down this way happy to help or will let you know if I wander up….but would most likely be Portsmouth. I had a very tall Dr customer years ago with an F in Concord. Don’t know if he is still around. Quote
Yetti Posted August 13, 2021 Report Posted August 13, 2021 So there is tall, there is big and tall, and there is big. I am tall and I hate big and tall clothes. Thanks just want tall clothes. 6'9" There is a mod to drill a couple more holes in the seat rail. But other than that I can fly from back regular back hole with a bit more cramped. Also if the seats have been redone, some people put a bit more foam in them. Al Mooney was like 6'3" 1 Quote
carusoam Posted August 14, 2021 Report Posted August 14, 2021 Getting in and out of a Mooney at 6’ 2” isn’t going to be very challenging…. Unless there are really bad knees that accompany that… and there are solutions for that as well… If the partner like speed and efficiency…. The Mooney is the right choice…. The other planes aren’t any bigger… Go Mooney! Best regards, -a- Quote

If your willing to take a ride up this way we would pay for your fuel and take you out to lunch or dinner . Dan @ 603-361-7493 Quote
