Ok, check it out, apples to apples comparison of the Hartzell Top Prop BA (Blended Airfoil) prop versus the standard C212 McCauley in Benchmark. About 2 knot speed gain at a representative cruise condition.....matches very close what I found in flight test.

And I hear combined with the IO-390 (pricey and prohibitive), the net speed gain is nearly 6 KIAS. That aside, the top prop is just a great upgrade, seeking speed or not.

Nice.  Its a wonderful thing to see independent reviews that use empirical data, vice the glossy brochure of the company selling the product...
