Rapco or Cleveland brake pads?

I am buying consumable items and hardware to have on hand against sudden need. The list includes a set of 66-10500 brake pads. I notice that Rapco pads are just over half the cost of Cleveland pads. Does the cost difference reflect a quality/longevity difference? What says the group?

I've used both, and found that (at least on the Ovation platform), the Cleveland linings hold up much better.  I typically buy qty. 2 of 66-105 (four-pack) from Spruce, which saves a little bit.

How often are you all buying brake pads? It’s like an every 6-7 years thing for me.

I bought 50 of them on EBay about 20 years ago for about $.50 each. I think I still have 42 of them. I don’t care how long they last.

I bought my C in June 2007, with not-new brakes. No idea on their age. Replaced them during annual in Spring 2018. Didn't see the need to dig through the logs, that lifespan was good enough. 

But I don't brake until slowing to 50 mph, and rarely ever brake hard. The pads aren't that expensive, but the time to swap them out! (or labor charge if I don't do it myself)

I have Rapco rotors and pads on both the E & 172 and have no complaints, have spare pads for both in the parts cabinet that I might need in a few years.....lol

It is annual time, and the brake pads are fine, but the pads are something to have in stock.

rapco discs but the pads tend ot not have as much friction as cleveland pads.; we pulled them off and it stops better with Clevelands.
