I am buying consumable items and hardware to have on hand against sudden need. The list includes a set of 66-10500 brake pads. I notice that Rapco pads are just over half the cost of Cleveland pads. Does the cost difference reflect a quality/longevity difference? What says the group?

I've used both, and found that (at least on the Ovation platform), the Cleveland linings hold up much better.  I typically buy qty. 2 of 66-105 (four-pack) from Spruce, which saves a little bit.

I bought my C in June 2007, with not-new brakes. No idea on their age. Replaced them during annual in Spring 2018. Didn't see the need to dig through the logs, that lifespan was good enough. 

But I don't brake until slowing to 50 mph, and rarely ever brake hard. The pads aren't that expensive, but the time to swap them out! (or labor charge if I don't do it myself)

I have Rapco rotors and pads on both the E & 172 and have no complaints, have spare pads for both in the parts cabinet that I might need in a few years.....lol

rapco discs but the pads tend ot not have as much friction as cleveland pads.; we pulled them off and it stops better with Clevelands.
