Before starting to troubleshoot I was wondering if somebody  could give me some advice on what may be going on.

My Aspen drives the STEC55X autopilot.  Lately when I set the heading bug, the STEC moves the planet 5 to 8 degrees off the assigned heading. All other functions work perfectly well.

What may be going on?

Thanks for any advice

Now we know who moved the planet!   :)

Sounds like something lost it’s calibration...

What does the Aspen use to supply direction info in your plane?

Does it have a magnetometer to go with that?

Sounds like a magnetometer challenge...

See if @Marauder is familiar..?

Best regards,

Similar thread on BeechTalk involving an Aspen and 60-2.  Problem just began when the Aspen was upgraded.  Was yours?

Yes, I upgraded my Aspen! I will look into the thread in beechtalk
