sdflysurf Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 https://www.barnstormers.com/classified-1588546-Mooney-M20E.html Beautiful M20 E sold for $30K - nice interior and avionics and paint from the looks of it. The owner cared for it well for 11 years. Quote
RLCarter Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 30 was the asking price, might have sold for less. Either way on the face of it someone probably did ok Quote
hammdo Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 With that many inquiries, I bet it was for more ;o) -Don Quote
gsxrpilot Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 Assuming everything checks out, it is an appropriate asking price for a quick sale. But a couple of things I'd have noted... not to be a hater, but just for anyone looking for another one... No Autopilot No WAAS/moving map GPS I would ask about the annual and other maintenance. It looks from the pictures that this might be an owner assisted or owner performed annual. That warrants some extra scrutiny looking for deferred maintenance items. The last flight on FlightAware in 9/28/19. The first two bullets are known, the second two might be nothing, or might be significant. But it warrants taking a close look. That is probably an "As is, where is" price. Which adds an additional element of risk. But for $30K, it might be a risk worth taking. 1 Quote
chriscalandro Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 I’d of taken that risk if I saw it in time.... 2 1 Quote
Kmac Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 I'm in the market again and looking all the time. I made an offer on one a few weeks ago and it was rejected. I saw the one you are referring to and considered it but knew it would be gone before I could even look at it... Quote
geoffb Posted July 10, 2020 Report Posted July 10, 2020 Not even PC on that one. Funny spending money on the Aspen and the JPI. Quote

And the motor, and the prop, and what appears to be a clean frame, and an interior. that airplane was worth that without the aspen and jpi. Edited July 10, 2020 by chriscalandro 1 Quote
bradp Posted July 11, 2020 Report Posted July 11, 2020 Sounds like a great platform for an autopilot upgrade and quite a deal at that. Quote
Browncbr1 Posted July 13, 2020 Report Posted July 13, 2020 Wow! Hopefully no spar corrosion. What a steal! 1 Quote
