Hello folks,

Wondering if "broken case short stud" is a common problem in 231s or is this indicative of vibrations due to motor mount issues or imbalanced prop? Scanning through logbooks for a pre-buy exam and this caught my eye. It seems to be relatively inexpensive part (643651-1) based on:

The aircraft has had a few of them replaced. I don't have the service manual so can't really place where they go. If anyone has the manuals I can look please let me know.

It’s a cylinder hold down stud on many TCM engines, kind of odd in my experience.  Item #13 in the picture.
