TexMooney Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 My fuel selector just started dripping but only out of the overflow port and only when on right tank. Any thoughts? Do I need to pull it?
carusoam Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 There is a tiny rubber seal at the bottom of the selector/drain... If it has dirt in it... clean it out... If the rubber seal got ruined/aged... There is a thread with pictures around here... Getting it OH’d can be done by Lasar... Best regards, -a-
TexMooney Posted February 12, 2020 Author Report Posted February 12, 2020 Thank you! Hope it’s just dirty
carusoam Posted February 12, 2020 Report Posted February 12, 2020 Be careful with cleaning it... The rubber seal is glued in place... Old fuzzy memories of what I have read around here... Best regards, -a-
RobertGary1 Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 My seal disappeared at one point. The seal is inexpensive if it needs replacement and Lasar can provide them without a part number. -Robert
Raptor05121 Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 LASAR has a cheap parts kit. My IA and I rebuilt ours in about an hour, including dropping the little detent balls 6 times... 1
cliffy Posted February 22, 2020 Report Posted February 22, 2020 Disassemble it over/on a white towel ONLY. Then when the little detent balls drop out you will be able to find them on the towel. They won't bounce and roll away. If you do this on a regular bench top the little b$%%^&ds will disappear. No I didn't lose mine. I used a towel. :-) 1 1
TexMooney Posted February 22, 2020 Author Report Posted February 22, 2020 Thank you so much for the tips guys! Calling Lasar Monday for the kit.
