hypertech Posted July 18, 2019 Report Posted July 18, 2019 (edited) What's the difference between this and a GTN 635? $4k and a smaller screen? Edit: It looks like Connext with flight plan transfer is included. That's nice. Fingers crossed other devices get an upgrade for that. My GTN750/GTN650/345r can't do that without a flight stream even though it has Connext through the transponder. Edited July 18, 2019 by hypertech Quote
Jerry 5TJ Posted July 18, 2019 Report Posted July 18, 2019 The new GNC355 lacks a conventional NAV receiver, unlike the GTN650. Quote

TheTurtle Posted July 19, 2019 Report Posted July 19, 2019 its cool. we're getting there. But it its still $3000 overpriced. Quote

Audio panels can cost $2.5k, I can’t imagine a certified waas approach gps/com unit selling new for a similar amount. I know my 430w took a hit resale wise today. Closed any notion I had to upgrade to a 440 because I’m sure the price delta has increased. Edited July 19, 2019 by MIm20c Quote

I'm barely hanging on and wondering every day if it's worth it. Might put the old girl up for sale while people are selling E's for 70k and get something experimental. 1 Quote
gacoon Posted July 19, 2019 Report Posted July 19, 2019 I,ll buy one to replace my #2 KX155 if: it will accept crossfill from my Gtn650. I want flight plan in 650 to go to this device right away using xfill option in 430/650 like boxes. Otherwise its standalone nav island. Quote

Yetti Posted July 23, 2019 Report Posted July 23, 2019 A 430W killer for sure. Would be a nice certified source for Dynon Skyview and replace the 170B Quote
