King 62a DME service

The display on my King 62a DME alternates between working great and only being able to see 1/2 the numbers. I called our avionics place and they said they might get lucky and be able to clean the contacts but King no longer allows field maintenance. I don't see anything on King's website about repairs or repair cost. Any pointers to who can still legally service these?

IIRC, there was a list of appliances that required replacement, and the KN-62a might not be on it.  You might want to clarify that with the shop.
