Bennett Posted May 11, 2011 Author Report Posted May 11, 2011 Time for a follow up. I would like to post a photo or two of the articulating seat bottom frame as built by the Mooney factory. Several members of the forum have asked for photos. Alas, still no seat bottom frame. Newest info: "another week or two." Months have now passed (LASAR parts department tells me they have had one on order since December 2, 2010) since I was told by the factory representative that they had two in stock, only to find out that they really didn't have any in stock, but that they would build one for me. I have followed up via LASAR several times, but the story is always the same: "another week or two". This hardly bodes well for the future. If Mooney can't supply the parts (or as in this case, won't release the drawings for local manufacture) what will happen to the Mooney fleet? Quote

I do identify with your statement! 1 Quote
Cruiser Posted May 11, 2011 Report Posted May 11, 2011 it would seem the current management would rather find a buyer than get the factory working again. How are they trying to sell new Mooneys? Does anyone know? They should be taking placement orders like the startups do based on xx number of orders to start production and they should be selling those planes at severely discounted (like break even) to get up and running again. Both Cessna and Piper are selling planes. If Mooney doesn't get started now, when? They could make some very, very attractive pricing since they don't need to tack on insurance premiums. They have nothing to loose. Quote
Awful_Charlie Posted June 30, 2013 Report Posted June 30, 2013 Resurrecting this topic as I have a set of fully adjustable seats to go fully upholstered etc, but missing one headrest and the elastic on the seat pockets has gone. More info in the 'Avionics and bits For Sale' board Quote
