Hank Posted March 1 Report Posted March 1 Someone just needs to check the Performance Tables. For my C, it's 12,500, 16"/2300, good for a little over 7 hours plus reserves. But Ovations burn more fuel and have larger tanks. I don't want to be in my plane that long without getting up.and walking around some. Four hour legs aren't a problem, I get twitchy at 4:30. 1 Quote

It was their 3rd or 4th trip to the U.S. Wish I could have met them, but just saw the plane on the ramp and googled it. Absolutely awesome trips!! My own longest trip was ~1350 nm, KHWV-->KCOD, but we were sightseeing and spent two nights going each way. The longest single leg that comes to mind would either be KALX-->KJGG or KALX-->T41; both were ~4:00 not counting wind. I did three roundtrips to Houston, flight times ranged from 3:00 to 4:40 (tailwinds are rare but very nice). Quote

cliffy Posted March 2 Report Posted March 2 I use my D model for traveling having done HOU from St George Utah/LAS or PGA many times and one trip St George to Tampa and back. Portland OR, Montana, Oklahoma, Indy, have all been destinations over the years. (@ 2700 hrs in this airplane over the years) Longest leg hand flown was 5+18 going to Kansas City but I don't remember where I stopped for fuel (and I don't want to dig into the books to try to find that flight 20 years ago). All hand flown until recently with the new autopilot install. Quote
