Greg_D Posted February 9, 2017 Report Posted February 9, 2017 Has anyone ever used this oil or the vendor? The price seems pretty good. Quote
RobertGary1 Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 WOw that is a good deal. I seem to recall that Phillips is cheaper because it lacks an addictive that Lycoming recommends. After decades of running Elite and other multi vis after reading aviation consumer reports I'll probably go back to cheaper straight. But likely aeroshell -Robert Quote
BKlott Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 I've been using the vendor for several years with no issues at all. Their prices are good! 1 Quote
KSMooniac Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 That's $10 less than I paid today for 20W-50.Sent from my VS985 4G using Tapatalk Quote
bradp Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 I used them for the first time prior to last oil change. Prices were the best, shipped promptly, and because I'm in state shipping was cheaper tooSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1 Quote
RobertGary1 Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 Shipping says $20 for me. -Robert Quote
Delta Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) I have used PSC for the last 4 yrs+, but I only use Phillips X/C 20W/50. Ground shipping gets it to me the next day. Edited February 10, 2017 by Delta 1 Quote
Bob - S50 Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Thanks for the info. I just went to the site and ordered two cases. Saved quite a bit over what we were paying locally. Edited February 10, 2017 by Bob - S50 grammar Quote
wiguy Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 I usually try to fill up for the year at Oshkosh, $55 a case of Phillips. If you buy 3 or more they will deliver it around the grounds. The price above looks good, shipping is often expensive. I use Camguard at times, then fly routinely. Quote
ArtVandelay Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 It's $6 cheaper for 2 cases of Aeroshell 100 over spruce, but if you take advantage of Spruces free shipping offers that they have on occasion, on orders over $500, then you really can save some cash. Quote
flyer7324 Posted February 10, 2017 Report Posted February 10, 2017 Use them all the time. They're great folks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote

It's just ~30 minutes each way, so I just fly to Falcon Field and Spruce picks me up, then drives my two cases of oil, two filters and whatever else I got, back to the plane. Then I borrow the courtesy car and get lunch before flying back home. Yeah, I got spoiled by that really FAST! Like my first trip after moving back to God's Country, must have been late summer '14. 1 Quote
Marauder Posted February 11, 2017 Report Posted February 11, 2017 I just ordered two cases of Aeroshell 15W50. Their prices are $2.20 per case less than Aircraft Spruce, but the shipping was half of what Spruce wanted. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 1 Quote
