Aviation Expo

Today's trip was to Aviation Expo at KEDC.  Lots of fun stuff to see, including a mock-up of the 2 door Mooney.  My general impression is that it will be able to compete with the Cirrus, at least in terms of looks. --useful load and a parachute are still going to be an issue.  I'd love one, but unfortunately out of my price range.   

They also had a HondaJet.  I got a very favorable impression of it.

Someone must have left the Mooney running, the mags are On and all the engine controls are full forward.

Went yesterday. Hondajet, TBM930 and the PC-12 were the favorites. The new Mooney is definately nice with the new interior and panel.

The coolest thing about the Honda jet has to be the 20ft long pitot coming off the nose with an aoa barb

Test pitot is long gone on this one! Has flown a couple hundred hours. They said they are on serial number 25 now and have delivered quite a few. Chief pilot said he has flown it 160 hours around the country. Very cool airplane to say the least.
