To all of Ross Grands family and especially to his fiancé (so glad to hear she has been released from the hospital) You have my heartfelt condolences on your loss.  No words are adequate.  Thank you to his cousin for providing more insight into the events and potential contributing factors (call/lowering gear).  Flying on the edge.  Trying to save it and you get "that" radio call.  A totally unnecessary distraction at the WORST possible time.  Don't be that guy.  Do be that guy that runs to the plane to provide aide.  May the rest of your lives be free from tragedy and accidental loss.

Hello all.  Due to user request I am going to lock this topic up.  I think it has been well discussed and is drifting off topic somewhat.  God bless the people involved and I hope that we all can take something positive away from such a terrible occurrence.
