Oil cooler relocation

Recommended Posts

I am thinking about doing the oil cooler relocation STC. My question is this, what do you do with the gaping hole in the cowling when you're done? I have not been able to find anything about the second landing light installation although I have seen it done on other planes.

Byron took some nice photos of glass work he did on a cowl.

Corvette shops are pretty good making holes like that disappear.  It would be best that your mechanic were to take your cowl to discuss the proper materials required for aviation use.

Or go with the landing and taxi lights option...

Best regards,

Bob, what cowling enclosure do you have?

Oscar: ARI.

A previous owner, Ronald Westbrook of Chickamauga GA,  retired military, airline pilot, rest his soul, chose to make my '66E into his ideal retirement airplane. He changed the tail number to 943RW - I understand that his wife was born in September 1943:
