Respectfully disagree about polls not being meaningful. Just finished poll at local airport and results as follows:

Mooney 97%

Cessna 74%

Piper 61%

Cirrus 59%

Beechcraft 58.6%

Grumman 55%

Bellanca 43%

Aeronoca 27%

Luscombe 14%

Understand results will not be final until FAA and Insurance companies refer to committee , complete investigation and issue executive actions.

Stay tuned!!

Interesting poll indeed! It all adds up to 488.6%

But to prove my point, there's no way Cirrus could muster 59% when Piper leads by only 3. A statistical improbability.

Second, again we found that the polls didn't mean shit. I think that's the worst part of this entire process, the incessant polls which are more times than not proved to be totally wrong, yet are shoved down our throat to ad nauseum.

without a poll, news companies wouldn't have credibility on their side.  ;)

I hear folks in Canada like to fly airplanes, make good music, golf and enjoy the outdoors.  Being born in Canada sounds alright with me...as opposed to say an island out in the ocean.

In Iowa they gather thousands of people in a room.  The National anthem is sung and you hear more people singing than the singer with the Mike...then the pledge is sung...by children and again they are nearly drowned out by the voices of those gathered...and then a prayer asking for peace and sound decision-making for our and the worlds leaders...and then Ted, Rand, Ivanka and Carli's husband, a Medal of Honor recipient and others got a few minutes to tell those gathered why they or the candidate that they believed in was the right choice.

Precincts then gathered to elect a chair.  A hat was passed.  Each individual that had already presented his/her bonafides to their precinct to confirm registered put their hand written choice for the next President of the United States in a hat.

Democrats?  They gathered at their own location and no solid leader emerged as THE candidate.

I like the process.  I like that Iowa feeds and fuels the world.  I like that Rockwell-Collins is in Iowa.  Lastly, I like corn on the cob fresh picked and airplanes.

Being born in Canada is quite fine.  We have good neighbours who can kid each other freely and no one gets guns and swords, where so many others do.

It sounds like a great way to choose a leader, we always watch with interest.

Can't win a war. Too many attorneys hovering over our generals.

Can't provide nation with adequate military support. Defense programs cut to provide welfare $$.

Can't educate our children. Teachers unions , need I say more?

Can't let us keep our doctor. (Blatant lies)

Can't balance a budget. 19T going to 21T.

Unable to maintain already constructed infrastructure. (Collapsing bridges and poorly patched roads).

Can't provide lead free water for our children. Flint.

Can't secure our borders and you just got to love those sanctuary cities. Now, what happened to e-verify?

Can't solve the drug issues so just legalize it to provide more and bigger govt.  Sort of like the turn to final stall, no recovery here.

Can't really solve a problem as a degree in law is only useful for arguing, not problem solving. Engineers, economist and scientist solve problems. Ex. China's ruling class,

not one person shot last night and not one death from a narcotics overdose. (Contrast with Chicago)

No idea whatsoever concerning economic matters. I think when Maytag moved from Iowa to Mexico, that may have been the last straw.

I could go on for pages, but in the interest of brevity, (Don't get me started on taxes)

enough said.

Just when I thought my day had to get better.

I thought the next republican president was Canadian?

Clarence

People who have personally interacted with Ted Cruz say he is not a very nice person. That is all the proof I need that he is not Canadian! ;) I am sure they exist, but I personally have never met a mean spirited Canadian.

I don't have anything against televangelists, I just don't want our President to look and act like one.

Yeah, and people in hell want ice water... This year's election is like going to a restaurant and having the waiter tell you that they only have 2 items on the menu; horse shit and dog shit.  The waiter then tells you that ordering is optional, but eating is maditory.

More like the waiter says everyone will be served whatever there is more of, everyone gets the same meal and there is no price on the "menu." Hope you like whichever steaming pile they bring, and that you have enough to pay whatever the bill comes to.

I don't want a buddy in the white house.  I don't want a "nice guy".  I want a leader that will balance a budget, not stamp on the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  I want to blow up the tax code.  I want to stop nation-building.  I see candidates that say they will do those things.

What part of Carson is Horse and Dog poop?  I see a "good/honorable man" there.  Too good to be President.

I don't doubt that he's a good/honorable man, but I don't think he's going to make it. As bright as he is, I don't believe he's demonstrated the cunning or stage presence to really win a debate, much less the nomination. Of course the guy leading on the right is all cunning and stage presence with little substance (we're working on that, we're going to fix that, we're going to solve that issue, blah, blah, blah etc.) I am no fan of political correctness nor identity politics, but that does not mean that I enjoy boorishness and name calling.

On the left we have -

Someone who is known to be a liar and suspected to be a socialist.

Someone who is known to be a socialist and whom I suspect is a liar or perhaps just intellectual light weight that is lousy at math.

and then there's the guy who's trailing (by a large margin) in the polls. He's a run of the mill "I wish I was a Kennedy" liberal that's actually quite a bit to the left of most of the Kennedys save for "liberal lion" Teddy and "Chavez was my homeboy" Joe. In addition, I think he's a lousy administrator with lousy ideas (I held my nose and hoped for the best when I voted for him as mayor of Baltimore).

Honerable mention to Jim Webb, a decent man who I think learned in the first few debates that his party had left him.
