heading to phoenix over New Years.

Hi all,

Sorry I havn't been on much lately, we have been doing a lot of work to the new house trying to get it ready for us to move in. that basically means that anything not directly related to the house has been on the back burner especially my Mooney. as of this week the sheet rock is being installed in the house and should be finished by the time we get back from arizona. I wish I could say that we would be flying the Mooney out but that is too long of a trip from PA, and honestly it is cheaper (but not as much fun) to fly commercial.

This trip was originally planned as a family reunion for my wife's family, but my mother in law took a fall early november and has been in a rehab facility. she should get home about the time we get out there but it looks like we will be spending most of our time in the scottsdale area visiting and helping her out. We are headed out on the 31st and will be staying until the 9th, during that time I am sure that I will be making my way over to a couple of the local airports, My inlaws are just down the road from scotsdale so that will probably be my default spot to look at airplanes and talk aviation.if anybody in the area would like to meet up while I'm out there let me know.

My daughter just moved from NYC to Scottsdale to take a position with the Phoenix Suns.  I can see a Mooney trip out there sometime in 2016.  My wife flew out commercial (Allegiant to Mesa) last week, and I stayed home to install a hardwood floor.

I'll be interested in what you report back.

My wife has been back and forth several times leaving me to work on the house so I understand. it will be nice to get away for a bit, i'm about do for a break. If you would like you can install my hardwood floors while I'm gone! I really would not mind  .

Made it out to Phoenix, spending tonight at a hotel by the airport. Not much going on here for New Years, probably just as well I'm ready for bed anyway. Tomorrow we head to our timeshare in Scottsdale, not sure what all we are going to be doing while we are out here but we are planing a day trip to the Pima air museum. I will post some pics in the travel forum when we go.
