We just rode by the airport at Dinard. It got me wondering if there was a Mooniac near the north coast I could buy some 100LL for. Seeing the coast is spectacular on a bicycle. It must be even more so from the air.

Welcome Cyril

I'm a long way south and east I'm afraid, and on-call this weekend, so can't help you here, but for sure the north coast has some great spots. If you can get up the coast a bit towards Caen there are all the D-day beaches, museums and memorials - each with their own features for a pause for thought.

Have a great trip

Yup... We did the beaches a couple of years ago and then headed south through the Swiss Normand. This year we started in Brest and are following the coast to Vimy and then heading south to Paris. Can't beat France for wine, good food, wine, great cycling, wine, superb scenery, wine, fascinating history and wine. We cycle in France every summer.

Did I mention the wine?

pity you are not taking the reverse route, I will be in southern Britanny every weekend in July visiting family, overflying Dinard on my way back to the UK! do post again on your next trip to Europe, we'll arrange something.

Great looking M20F on your avatar.

Thanks, certainly will do next year.

Just bought the F a year ago. New: paint, interior, 1\4 inch windows all around, tires, donuts, engine and prop (gear up), aerodynamic mods... And much more.

A few Mooneys cross the pond every year…

Both ways…

Using Greenland and Iceland along the way….

Their pics are pretty easy to find search for Greenland and Iceland….

In the end, French wine may have got the better of him...:D

Nope.  Still around and still enjoying French Wine (and cheese).  We've been so busy on our bike trips that I'm never thinking about flying unless we ride by a small airport.

France is the epitome of cycle touring on the planet, and there are very few areas we haven't covered.

This summer we're flying into Toulouse heading south and west to Tarbes/Pau/Lourdes and then looping up and around to fly out of Lyon.  We're flying commercial.  I've gone back and forth on the North Atlantic when I was a kid.  After seeing that at sea level precludes ANY thought of single engine ocean crossing.

Long time no see!

Great continuation of a long running thread…

Go MS!

Indeed, it is I.  Now that Covid is at least stabilised it's time to go beyond burning holes in local skies.  I just stuck on my 2022 customs sticker.
