dham1956 Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 I have a Mooney 231 with a king 200 autopilot and garmin 430. When in coupled nav mode the cdi deviation needle is always consistently delected a few needle widths to the right. same with approaches. I went through the config process of showing the garmin where 150 degrees is with no improvement. Any ideas? Quote
Piloto Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 The problem is likely related to the 200 AP NAV/CDI centering adjustment. I can also be related to dirty contacts on the AP connector NAV input pins. Try contact cleaner first. José. Quote
Bill Dunn Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 I wish I could look at it in the shop but the fact that your GNS430 deviation display matches the HSI tells me something is wrong with the 430. the 430 puts out what ever information you see on it to the HSI then the HSI sends that info to the AP. I think you have an issue with the 430. Quote
Piloto Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Aside from the AP issue check the oil pressure. It is a little bit on the low side. Low oil pressure readings are related to: Low oil amount Over 50 hrs on the oil Oil temp too high Pressure relieve valve setting or stuck Bearings wear Time for an overhaul. José Quote
