isaacpr7 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Here you go fellow mooniacs. I found this add with a good deal and thought you guys should know. Apparently the company is upgrading their fleet to 650s and are selling their 430s. I wish I could jump in on it but I'm saving up for an autopilot first. http://www.airplanemart.com/part-for-sale/Aircraft-Avionics--Instruments/Garmin-GNS-430W-P-N-011-01060-00/5186/ 1 Quote
KSMooniac Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Smoking deal! >$2000 less than market price right now. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Quote
moodychief Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 The post/update date was April 2014. Unless they have a large fleet I would think there are slim chances of still having any at this price. Quote
isaacpr7 Posted September 28, 2014 Author Report Posted September 28, 2014 It was a new add on my FB feeds. It looks like each one of their ACTUAL had two, so who knows? They might still have some. Otherwise, they would not be paying for advertisement. Quote
moodychief Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Has anyone bought anything off this site to give a review. I clicked on all the current ads and the newest was two months old dated 7-2014 with the oldest being 12-2013. Quote
isaacpr7 Posted September 28, 2014 Author Report Posted September 28, 2014 I don't know but if I was to buy something that expensive it would have to be through PayPal because they will hold the money for about 30 days or so that I can inspect the merchandise and if it's not good they won't pay the seller until resolved. carusoam Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Anything that sounds that good... Make sure you do your homework. There isn't a logical reason to sell a 430W at an off market price. Something is fishy. If your in the neighborhood, go visit it first. Just my thoughts, -a- 1 Quote
LANCECASPER Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 This kinda sounds like the "too good to be true" scam ads that they warn you about on Barnstormers. Hopefully not tho. 1 Quote
Wakeup Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Total scam !! I have only been able to communicate via text with this guy and he finally said "I'm out of town, so you will have to send the money to XYZ before he can send it out ". Hmm. Quote
isaacpr7 Posted October 3, 2014 Author Report Posted October 3, 2014 Wow, that's insane! I went through the same thing when I was trying to buy my Mooney. Over 14 scammers tried to rip me off and they all used the same tactics and stories. Quote
fantom Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 When the advertised selling price is well below market value, not surprising. All us CB's know that. 1 Quote
