dfgreene61 Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 I'm upgrading my avionics and installing Garmin Flightstream so I no longer need the GDL-39 3D. It's the DC version and includes remote GPS and ADS antennas. Less than 1 year old, very good condition. $500 firm. Amazon New

You are upgrading to something else to give you the ADS-B in (like a GDL-88)? The Flightstream will feed it to Garmin Pilot but you need an "in" source.
Wakeup Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 I have Stratus 2 with Foreflight and a Garmin Area 560 mounted in the panel. Would this benefit me in anyway by getting this? I read it can be hooked up somehow to the Area 560?
dfgreene61 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 Yes, I'm getting a GTN-750 and GDL-88 installed next week. I know I'd be disappointed if I didn't just go ahead and add the Flightstream. It will be nice to be able to flight plan on the iPad and magically move it over to the 750. Got to love technology! 1
dfgreene61 Posted September 27, 2014 Author Report Posted September 27, 2014 Wakeup, since you already have the Stratus 2, a GDL-39 won't give you any extra benefit.
Wakeup Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 Ok. I didn't know if it would give more info to my Garmin 560. Thanks. Troy
Bob_Belville Posted September 27, 2014 Report Posted September 27, 2014 You will love the 750/88 combo! In my experience, loading a fltpln into the 750, and more importantly, making changes to your clearance is really easy with prompts and options. Airways are selected from a list of those intersecting your fix, choose the airway and the exit fix and all the intermediate fixes are inserted.
